Natalie x Calvin got married
I want to promise you that even though we may change in this life together, I will always love you, I will always care for you, I will never give up on us.
Calvin - who is a great love letter writer. For nearly a year, he sent Natalie love letters and an audio diary to wake up to about them, the world, the artwork he was making, and what dreams he had about their lives together.
Despite seeming very different (Calvin was a punk, Natalie was a thrift store queen) we had a lot in common. Exact same birthday, knowing we were going to be artists since we were 5 years old, same taste in heroes, and an intense, all consuming drive to be creators.
We both joined an experimental major where we designed our own education and did multidisciplinary work, doing metal work, construction, painting, print making, performance, and multi media. They did shows together,
After school, we kept painting together, working on eachother's shows and businesses, documenting, and spending time together traveling and hanging out. Eventually C told N he loved her, but she didn't get it.
One fateful trip in 2022, Natalie ended up taking a solo roadtrip from LA to Phoenix and met Calvin at the end. Her flight cancelled from snow, they ended up visiting all the ruins in the area together for days. It recemented the bond they had.
First date in Dublin
Both of us were finally single for the first time in a decade in 2023. By mid July, we were talking everyday. And in October Natalie finally told Calvin she had a crush on him. And he told her he had been in love with her for a long time, but he was very sorry, he had to go to an alien convention he was late for.
By December, they decided their first date would be in Dublin over Easter. When Calvin got home, he bought an engagement ring and proposed in May at her favorite beach in Wisconsin. In June, he sold his house and moved to London. She proposed to him on the Eiffel tower in August during the Olympics.
Married on Valentine's Day
Eventually Calvin's visa ended and he had to leave London. They met up again in December in MKE, made some paintings and realized they *definitely* didn't want to be apart anymore. Mid Februrary, they let the State of Utah marry them in a Zoom ceremony with enough witnesses to crash the software.
Calvin moved to the UK in April, and that's why we are having two ceremonies to celebrate for our wonderful and supportive families on two continents. Please join us for whatever makes sense for you!
